In today's Baked Beauties video I'm going to be showing you how to make a Holiday Trifle, and not just any Holiday Trifle, my Holiday Hazelnut Heaven Trifle! This dessert is pretty time consuming, but definitely worth the time and effort. There are a couple of different components to this beauty and I'm going to show you how to make each one! Starting with the Triple Hazelnut Cake, followed by the Nutella Buttercream Frosting, some Hazelnut Whipped Cream and how to assemble the trifle. ♥ TRIPLE HAZELNUT CAKE-
¤ Ingredients:
2 tablespoons cake flour, plus 3 1/3 cups, divided
4 large eggs, at room temperature, lightly beaten
1/3 cup Frangelico ( hazelnut-flavored liqueur)
1 teaspoon hazelnut extract
1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon fine-grain sea salt
1 cup peeled, finely chopped or ground hazelnuts
3 sticks unsalted butter, at room temperature
4 large eggs, at room temperature, lightly beaten
1/3 cup Frangelico ( hazelnut-flavored liqueur)
1 teaspoon hazelnut extract
1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon fine-grain sea salt
1 cup peeled, finely chopped or ground hazelnuts
3 sticks unsalted butter, at room temperature

♥ HAZELNUT FILLING-
¤ Ingredients:
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup peeled, toasted and finely chopped hazelnuts
1/4 teaspoon fine-grain sea salt
1 tablespoon Frangelico (hazelnut-flavored liqueur)
1 teaspoon hazelnut extract
2 tablespoons finely chopped bittersweet chocolate or chocolate disks

♥ NUTELLA BUTTERCREAM FROSTING-
¤ Ingredients:
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
2 cups powdered sugar
⅔ cup Nutella or other chocolate-hazelnut spread
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Pinch kosher salt (up to ¼ teaspoon, to taste)
2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream

♥ HAZELNUT WHIPPED CREAM-
¤ Ingredients:
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon hazelnut extract
To me, this is a perfect dessert to share with loved ones during the Holiday season. It's quite a large dessert so its perfect for sharing!
